Tuna exports, Jan-Apr, 2011

In April, tuna export soareg by 59.3% year on year to over US$44 million, bringing the four months figure to the all time high of US$148 million, up 36.5% compared to the same period last year.

The US continued to be the largest importer of Viet Nam’s tuna in the first four months, claming over half of the market share. However, some other markets such as Japan and Iran were closing the gap as their import skyroketed by respectively 59% and 704%.
